Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in B2B sales, with bonus points for a legal background or experience selling at an early-stage legal tech company. They must possess a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and closing complex deals, particularly those in the $50,000 to $60,000 range. Strong industry knowledge of the legal industry and understanding of the unique challenges faced by law firms is required, along with proficiency in using CRM tools such as Hubspot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Apollo.
As the first Account Executive, the candidate will be responsible for researching, prioritizing, and reaching out to potential customers, owning the sales process from initial discovery to closing and customer expansion. They will lead generation efforts through networking, industry events, referrals, and outreach, establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, understand client challenges and requirements to tailor solutions effectively, negotiate contract terms and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets, collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams, stay informed about industry trends and the competitive landscape, maintain accurate sales activity records and pipeline status using CRM tools, and provide reporting on sales activity.
