  • Brief Description: Field Service Engineers provide technical support and assistance, ensuring the efficient performance of equipment and systems. You will work directly with customers to address their needs, ensuring customer satisfaction and product efficiency.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechatronics, electronics/engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
    • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
    • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing high-tech systems.
    • Technical competence as Field Service Engineer, Electron Microscopy preferred.
    • Excellent communication skills in English and local language.
    • Highly organized and in control of administrative tasks.
    • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
    • Negotiation skills and commercial mindset.
    • Understanding of standard and value-added service offerings.
    • Challenges the status quo, seeks opportunities to improve.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and assistance to customers.
  • Ensure the efficient performance of equipment and systems.
  • Work directly with customers to address their needs.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and product efficiency.
  • Manage and develop assigned service team.
  • Communicate effectively within internal teams.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings.
  • Coordinate staff scheduling.
  • Handle customer critical communication with service manager.
  • Manage escalations.
  • Participate in customer meetings.
  • Ensure health and safety protocols are followed.
  • Coordinate technical and non-technical training.
  • Support the regional service manager.
  • Participate in installation planning and preparation, working with Regional Installation Project Manager (RIPM) and regional expert.
  • Spend approximately 50% of working hours on field service activities (depending on team size).

  • Work Schedule: Standard (Mon-Fri)
  • Environmental Conditions:
    • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance.
    • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards.
    • Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed.
    • Laboratory Setting, Office, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.).
    • Will work with hazardous/toxic materials.
