Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing or Procurement, including detailed experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP. Strong proficiency in SAP for PR/PO generation, procurement modules, and planning tools is required. Proven experience as a tactical buyer in the automation, robotics, or electronics industry, with knowledge of electronic components, automation controls, and related technical specifications, is necessary. Experience with order management, procurement timelines, and managing engineering changes is also required, alongside excellent supplier management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

The Senior Buyer will manage the end-to-end procurement process for electronic components and automation controls, ensuring engineering and quality standards are met. They will collaborate with various departments to understand project requirements and generate Purchase Orders efficiently within SAP, maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities include identifying and driving systematic ERP process improvements, maintaining purchase item data accuracy, and developing strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply chains and negotiate favorable terms. The role involves analyzing supplier KPIs and performance, implementing corrective actions, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and providing status reporting on expedited and late material orders. The buyer will also resolve material shortages, analyze and solve purchasing problems with other departments, and act as a liaison between engineering, delivery management, and suppliers for issue resolution and continuous improvement. Ensuring adherence to company policies, procurement procedures, and compliance regulations, as well as identifying and mitigating business risks related to delivery, quality, cost, and performance, are key duties.
