Position Overview

CrowdStrike is seeking an Engineering Manager, Data Services to lead a global team focused on deploying and maintaining a first-class, cloud-native data platform. Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of engineers responsible for the deployment, operations, and scaling of data platforms including:
    • Apache Cassandra
    • Apache Kafka
    • Elasticsearch
    • Caching (Memcached, Redis)
    • Relational Databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
    • Hadoop
    • Zookeeper
  • Ensure the reliability and performance of large-scale, business-critical Linux environments.
  • Oversee operations on bare metal infrastructure.
  • Manage cloud operations, with a preference for AWS.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to work effectively with both local and remote teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field, such as Computer Science, CIS, or Engineering.
  • Experience with large-scale, business-critical Linux environments.
  • Experience running services on bare metal.
  • Experience operating within the cloud, preferably AWS.
