Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field and have at least 8 years of relevant professional experience in a related industry. A minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience servicing capital equipment and customers is required, along with 3-5 years of demonstrated experience managing or leading service organizations within a medium to large-scale company. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Senior Manager, Field Service is responsible for leading a geographic region and its team in the installation, service, and repair of sophisticated equipment and systems. This role involves developing and implementing strategies for effective customer support, maintaining and improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring service and timely resolution of critical issues. The manager will lead regional customer fulfillment, achieve revenue and margin goals, establish appropriate service account management capabilities, and refine the service delivery infrastructure. They will also manage the service business P&L, align service revenues and costs with the business plan, set up and maintain key reporting and metrics, and support product quality and reliability improvements. Additionally, the role includes representing Thermo Fisher Scientific at customer meetings, acting as a liaison between customers and the company, collaborating with customers to understand their business needs and develop enterprise services opportunities, and ensuring all activities comply with company policies, ethics, and applicable laws.
