Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • 1+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or equipment repair
  • Familiarity with PLC programming and troubleshooting
  • Experience with automated conveyor systems and basic electrical/electronic systems
  • Certifications (Industrial Electrician, Maintenance Mechanic, Machinist) preferred
  • Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and basic blueprints
  • Strong understanding of electrical (AC/DC), mechanical, and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., work at heights, and in confined spaces
  • Proficient in basic carpentry, plumbing, and metal fabrication
  • Strong attention to detail, proactive, and efficient
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Effective in working independently with minimal direction

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, including Material Handling Equipment (MHE), conveyor systems, motors, sensors, and relays
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs, including basic I/O functions and industrial controls
  • Maintain and repair dock equipment, forklifts, HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, and fire suppression systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance on MHE, electric vehicles, pallet trucks, and other equipment
  • Conduct facility repairs (that could include welding, plumbing, racking, structural) and installations (cabling, office setups)
  • Maintain parts inventory and respond to maintenance requests
  • Ensure facility cleanliness, safety, and organization
  • Champion a facility utilizing 5S principles and ensure its integration into daily routines; while promoting a culture of organization and cleanliness throughout the facility
