Requirements

Candidates should have experience as a Sales Engineer or Pre-Sales Engineer, with at least 3 years of experience selling into Enterprise and Mid Market prospects. Required technical experience includes container technologies (Kubernetes, Serverless, Docker), cloud technology (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.), cloud security or container security, and application security. Experience with MEDDPICC and/or Command of the Message sales frameworks, startup experience, and a proven ability to act as a trusted advisor are also essential.

Responsibilities

The Enterprise Sales Engineer will assess prospect technical requirements and apply knowledge of Chainguard products to demonstrate how the solution meets client needs. This role involves cultivating relationships with decision-makers, negotiating competing stakeholder needs, and securing technical wins through demos, RFP/RFI responses, and lead POVs. Responsibilities include partnering with the Sales Team, focusing on acquiring new customer logos and growing the existing customer base, owning all technical aspects of sales opportunities, and assisting current customers in understanding Chainguard's value. Daily tasks involve listening to customer challenges, conducting product demonstrations and POVs/POCs, and actively participating in webinars, meetups, conferences, and other marketing initiatives.
