Enterprise Account Executive - Japan

We are seeking a dynamic Enterprise Account Executive to drive growth in the Japan market. This is a high-impact role for someone passionate about helping leading enterprises transform their data infrastructure in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

About the Role

As a key player on our sales team, you will take ownership of developing and executing a go-to-market strategy for some of the most recognized enterprises in Japan. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of data-driven organizations.

Responsibilities

• Champion Apache Kafka® and Confluent's data streaming platform within large enterprise and multi-national accounts.
• Drive end-to-end sales efforts: prospect, qualify, engage, and close new business opportunities.
• Exceed sales goals (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
• Build and nurture trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders across IT and business functions.
• Collaborate with and grow relationships with Confluent’s strategic partners and the broader ecosystem.
• Develop and execute territory-specific go-to-market plans, leveraging organic, viral, and community-driven strategies.

Requirements

• At least 8+ years of successful enterprise sales experience, ideally in fast-growing software or SaaS companies.
• Proven success selling complex solutions in one or more of the following areas: databases, messaging, open source, big data, or cloud infrastructure.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to articulate the business value of data platforms to both technical and executive audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to sell to developers, architects, and C-level executives.
• Experience navigating and growing accounts within large, matrixed enterprise organizations.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a high-growth, startup-style environment.
