Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in building batteries and power electronic converters. A strong hands-on technical skill set focused on power electronics is essential, along with experience in troubleshooting and repairing electronic components. Candidates should be able to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings, and have familiarity with industry standards for battery systems and power electronics. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and good communication and teamwork abilities are required. An Associate's degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related field is also necessary.
The Engineering Technician will assemble and test battery systems and power electronic converters. They will perform troubleshooting and repairs on electronic components to ensure product performance and quality. Collaboration with engineers to improve designs and assembly processes is expected. The technician will conduct tests and inspections to identify performance issues in electrical and electronic systems, maintain detailed documentation of procedures, modifications, and test results, and provide support in the design and development of new products focused on energy storage and power conversion systems. Ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols is also a key responsibility.
