Requirements

Candidates should possess strong client focus, demonstrated by the ability to operate at a senior manager/director level, and a minimum of 5 years of IT Project Management experience. They must have experience leading and coordinating teams, including matrix management, within an operational service delivery or shared services environment, alongside a comprehensive understanding of the client’s business and the ability to anticipate evolving service needs. Strong communication and writing skills, as well as systems and IT literacy (particularly with Banner, Colleague, and Workday), are also required, along with a relevant higher education degree.

Responsibilities

The Engagement Manager (EM) is the primary point of contact for clients and consultants during active engagements, fostering strong working relationships and assuming accountability for delivering the agreed-upon project scope. They are responsible for coordinating client and team communications, managing expectations, project scope, timelines, and profitability, while identifying and pursuing business development opportunities within assigned accounts in partnership with delivery and the Account Executive. The EM also assists with scope for additional work and Change Orders, provides coaching and feedback to consultants, supports teams to drive delivery excellence, and demonstrates sound judgment in challenging situations, fostering continuous improvement and encouraging a collaborative environment for consulting delivery management and business development.
