Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience in several Business Development roles, such as Strategy, Planning, Marketing, Insights, Consulting, among others
  • Experience in growth planning/strategy as well as in execution, ideally in B2C but can be B2B if end product/service is consumer facing
  • Business level verbal and written Japanese
  • Can be on-site (Shibuya office) 60% of interactions
  • Integrate multiple insights and complex issues through a broad and holistic approach
  • Set the agenda of strategic direction for the business and lead to actionable solutions by collaborating with accountable functions
  • Partners with senior leaders to orchestrate and wire the strategy and solution deployment, prioritizing efforts, influencing, aligning and engaging key stakeholders in timely manner
  • Identify noise from signals in a saturated data environment. Converges contextual data from multiple countries into an OU-specific perspective without losing the power of local insights
  • Understands and effectively utilize the different sources of data and information required to drive choices and solutions to the business
  • Extensively analyzes problems to seek understanding of the root cause of the problems or to reach insight that leads to implication for action
  • Has growth mindset, motivated to continually challenge oneself to learn and grow, and willingly take the team together
  • Has the agility and resilience to operate in ambiguity and be okay to move ahead with assertiveness
  • Confident leader who can influence across different functions in the OU (including Marketing, Franchise, Commercial, Finance, R&D, Technical, among others) as well as Bottling Partners

  • Requires ability to convince others within and outside of the organization to agree/accept new concepts, practices, and approaches impacting sub-functional/business strategy

Responsibilities

  • Localize the global strategy, defining where to play and how to win through integrated strategy in category & channel and identifying strategic opportunities, including whitespace opportunities and challenges
  • Analyze through various data sources how the business is performing against the Short as well as Mid/Long term Strategy within the market dynamics and offer course correction perspective and proposal to the System
  • Identify key business questions to be addressed to distill powerful insights for the business to tackle on System level
  • Input the key business Opportunity and Challenges into Mid/Long term strategy development process (LRP/Long Range Plan) from various lens of Macro/Industry/Competitive landscape
  • Drive comprehensive Competitive Intelligence of local industry and players to make timely inputs and facilitate robust decision making, wiring the OU together and connecting with the broader global TCCC network
  • Act as an “in house” consultancy partner, structuring and leading ad-hoc cross-functional analysis or projects to drive the business on growth trajectory
  • Explore and Build External connections to leverage opportunities through networks
