Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture or technical leadership roles
  • At least 5 years in the life sciences, healthcare, or regulated technology space
  • Proven experience designing cloud-native solutions using Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, and modern API/microservices architectures
  • Strong understanding of regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11) and clinical data structures (e.g., CDISC, HL7, FHIR)
  • Track record of leading architecture for enterprise platforms or large-scale digital transformation initiatives
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and influence across business and technical domains

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture vision and technology roadmap aligned with business goals, regulatory requirements, and platform scalability needs
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, clinical, and compliance teams to define solution architectures that balance speed, quality, and risk
  • Establish architecture principles, reusable design patterns, and guardrails that promote consistency, security, and interoperability across platforms
  • Lead architectural decisions for modernization efforts using cloud-native technologies (Azure), advanced analytics platforms (Snowflake, Databricks), and microservices/API-first frameworks
  • Provide architectural leadership for upcoming strategic programs ensuring early engagement, alignment, and scalable design integration
  • Evaluate new tools and technologies relevant to clinical data, AI/ML, real-world evidence, and platform engineering; promote adoption where appropriate
  • Support and mentor solution and platform architects; foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and design thinking
