Requirements

  • Deep experience in financial systems, with hands-on, advanced Anaplan architecture and model-building skills
  • Strong track record of designing and building complex, scaled financial models from the ground up
  • Solid understanding of data architecture principles and experience with modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake)
  • Strong strategic thinking and communication skills, with ability to collaborate with and present to senior leadership
  • Proficiency in SQL for complex data querying, manipulation, and modeling
  • Preferred Experience
  • Anaplan L3 Model Builder certification
  • Hands-on experience building or deploying forecasting or predictive models, perhaps using ML tools
  • Familiarity with Python for data analysis and scripting
  • Experience with a BI visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience integrating AI/ML into Finance processes & data

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical strategy and vision for the Anaplan platform and the broader financial analytics technology stack
  • Design, build, and guide the development of complex, cross-functional financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
  • Develop and implement advanced forecasting models and data-driven insights, potentially using statistical and machine learning techniques
  • Develop and champion best practices for Anaplan model-building, integrated planning, and performance optimization
  • Partner closely with senior FP&A and business leaders to understand strategic needs and translate them into a scalable finance technology roadmap
  • Mentor and support other modelers and analysts on the team, fostering a culture of excellence, learning, and innovation
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering and Data Science teams to define and govern the data pipelines that feed financial models and reporting
