Requirements

Candidates should have experience leading large teams of managers and software engineers (30+) delivering cross-functional projects, a track record of building high-performing engineering teams from the ground up and mentoring leaders across both technical and management tracks, a passion for aligning engineering initiatives with business goals, and experience working with peers in engineering, product, design, and other departments to drive cross-functional alignment. A strong foundation as a hands-on software engineer with experience in building resilient, reliable software is required, along with familiarity with enterprise-grade solutions like APIs, SDKs, SSO, multi-tenancy, and developer tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Director of Engineering will support and set the strategic direction for teams delivering software that contributes to the company’s mission, collaborate with senior leaders to ensure team objectives align with the company’s long-term goals, and drive discussions with both technical and non-technical audiences and serve as a spokesperson for the team.
