Candidates must possess an Associate's degree with a Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience, and at least one year of experience working in a clinical setting, ideally with a degree from a Veterinary Technology Program. Required skills include superb customer service, independent work ability, analytical mindset, critical thinking, basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe), presentation skills, and organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities. Availability and willingness to travel up to 75% of the work week, with occasional overnight travel, is essential. Basic knowledge of animal disease states is preferred.
The Diagnostics Technical Specialist will provide onsite support to veterinary clinics, laboratory research, and veterinary academic settings, focusing on diagnostics implementation, workflow improvements, and increasing product utilization. Responsibilities include managing customer relationships to achieve business goals, identifying and resolving clinic pain points through workflow process improvements, responding to technical support requests, troubleshooting complex system problems, and providing product guidance, instruction, and training. The specialist will also perform post-sale installation and validation, complete daily activity documentation and customer visit reports, collaborate with Area Business Managers and Diagnostic Solutions Consultants to identify new opportunities, and safely lift and move up to 60 lbs.
