Requirements

Candidates should have at least 7 years of experience in a similar role and a strong understanding of SIP, RTP, RTCP, TLS, SRTP, SOAP/REST API, and TCP/IP. Experience with SBC platforms like Ribbon/Sonus SBC, PSX, and RAMP is advantageous. A solid knowledge of international telephony regulations and experience in onboarding carriers and setting up interconnects using transmission and network layer knowledge (BGP, VLAN, Subnetting, MPLS) are required. Proficiency in automation technologies such as Python, shell scripting, Ansible, and REST API is essential, along with experience deploying and integrating logging/monitoring tools like ELK, Grafana, Alert managers, and Webhooks. The ability to troubleshoot voice and network issues using packet analysis tools like Wireshark and Empirix, and experience working with vendors and external partners are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The DevOps Engineer will design and maintain critical SIP trunking infrastructure, lead high-impact projects, and work with automation technologies. Responsibilities include building monitoring systems, creating documentation, and troubleshooting voice and network issues through packet analysis. The role involves seeking out solutions to optimize cost, performance, and quality of existing solutions with ownership.
