Requirements

Candidates should have 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years focused on VoIP/SIP. Experience developing VoIP, SIP, and Real Time Communication services is required, along with experience developing Linux-based solutions in Python, Go, or C/C++. A strong understanding of network protocols, capture, and environments using tools like Wireshark, SIPp, libpcap, and BSD socket programming is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer, VoIP will drive the architecture, development, and deployment of new features for SIP and voice-centric applications, including live transcription and call recording systems. This role involves making strategic architectural decisions, optimizing applications for performance, scalability, and accessibility, and prototyping new VoIP features. Responsibilities also include ensuring the reliability and performance of the voice infrastructure through monitoring and connectivity optimization, collaborating with various teams to design solutions, and utilizing best-in-class software development practices. The engineer will participate in code reviews, standups, and own significant parts of the platform.
