Requirements

Candidates should possess expertise in SQL and familiarity with PL/SQL or T-SQL for writing efficient queries and supporting scalable database architecture. Experience with modern database systems including MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, Neptune, MongoDB, Redshift, Snowflake, and others is required. Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines in relation to cloud database offerings is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Database Engineer will manage and maintain database environments, ensuring data is structured, secure, and available. Key duties include designing, deploying, and optimizing database solutions, particularly in cloud environments. Responsibilities also involve performance tuning, troubleshooting, security implementation, backup and recovery procedures, upgrades, migrations, and providing technical support. The role includes documenting architecture, coding schemas, ensuring high-availability configurations, and staying current with emerging cloud database technologies.
