Requirements

Candidates should have experience installing, configuring, and upgrading SQL Server databases from versions 2008 up to 2022, along with skills in SQL Server Administration, including managing server and database storage, utilizing third-party tools, and performing performance tuning. Strong T-SQL scripting and tuning experience is required, as well as knowledge of backup/recovery strategies such as replication, log shipping, mirroring, clustering, and Always On Availability Groups. Experience with SSRS, SSIS, and Power BI is also desired, alongside awareness of development practices like agile and waterfall methodologies.

Responsibilities

As a SQL Server Database Consultant, you will coordinate, analyze, design, implement, and administer IT solutions based on Microsoft’s Data Platform, recommending best practices for process improvements, configuring and maintaining database servers, supporting SQL Server Database services, and troubleshooting operational problems. You will administer proactive daily checks, respond to monitoring alerts, present technical courses to customers and peers, participate in on-call coverage rotation plans, and communicate status and planning activities to customers and team members.
