Candidates should have 7+ years of software development experience in languages like Java, Scala, Go, C++, or Python. A minimum of 3+ years of experience building high-scale, high-performance backend systems is required, along with strong software engineering fundamentals and experience in the Ads domain. The ability to take complete ownership of complex projects and proven experience as a technical leader who mentors team members are also essential. Bonus points for full-stack development experience and exposure to using LLMs in production.
The Staff Engineer will work with product managers to define and improve Ads products, leading processes to enhance operational stability through code quality improvements and data visualization delivery. They will collaborate across product, design, and engineering teams to innovate and implement sophisticated solutions, and work with platform and data teams when building new features. Responsibilities include supporting project management tasks, engaging in the full development cycle from design to deployment, and building extensible components aligned with product objectives.
