Requirements

Candidates must possess excellent critical thinking skills, a data-curious mindset, and attention to detail. A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required, along with a minimum of 3 years in a data analyst or data engineering role. Proven experience as an SQL Developer, specifically with T-SQL, and a solid understanding of database design principles, indexing, and normalization are essential. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are also necessary. Firsthand experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and other Azure services is preferred, and experience with database migration projects is a plus. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert are advantageous.

Responsibilities

The Data Engineer will be responsible for the data integrity, optimization, and upkeep of the DHR Corporate Procurement Systems databases and ETL processes. This role involves analyzing, troubleshooting, documenting, and optimizing SQL Databases and ETL processes. The engineer will investigate, improve, and maintain data quality, and document database processes, configurations, and best practices. They will leverage Azure resources like Azure Data Factory and Logic Apps for ETL tasks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and optimize database solutions within the Microsoft stack. Additionally, the role includes monitoring database performance, implementing performance tuning, and ensuring data security and integrity.
