The Data Engineer should possess a strong background in software engineering and a passion for learning and empowering others. Experience with big data engineering and cloud-based analysis is essential, along with proficiency in a modern tech stack including Databricks, Redshift, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, Spark, and Python. Experience designing and implementing data ingestion solutions on AWS using AWS native services and optimizing data models on AWS Cloud using Databricks and AWS data stores like Redshift, RDS, and S3 is required.
The Data Engineer will lead big data engineering and cloud-based analysis to support real-time decision-making, define scalable data strategies, and build secure, efficient pipelines. Responsibilities include operationalizing machine learning models, uncovering insights across key domains, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex business challenges. The role involves designing and implementing data pipelines for processing and visualization, developing and maintaining optimal data pipeline architecture, integrating and assembling large, complex data sets, and processing unstructured data into a form suitable for analysis. Additionally, the Data Engineer will customize and manage integration tools, databases, warehouses, and analytical systems, monitor and optimize data performance, uptime, and scale, maintain high standards of code quality, create software architecture and design documentation, support team technical planning, design, and code reviews, and provide architecture and technical knowledge training.
