Requirements

Candidates should have 5+ years of software development industry experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems. They must have experience building operators with Kubernetes and controller runtime, and production experience with programming languages like Go or C++. Expertise with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their infrastructure as a service offerings, as well as experience with Data Storage, Ingestion, and Transformation tools like Spark or Kafka, are required. Strong problem-solving skills, experience with PagerDuty on-call and production debugging, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well within and across engineering teams are also essential. Experience with Python and Data Science libraries is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

The Cloud AutoScaling Engineer will build a cutting-edge Cloud Native platform on public cloud infrastructure. They will improve the metrics pipeline, build algorithms for better autoscaling statistics and recommendations, and work on the autoscale and Kubernetes operator for seamless Vertical and Horizontal Auto-scaling. This role involves close collaboration with the ClickHouse core development team and other data plane teams to support auto-scaling use cases and internal infrastructure improvements, as well as architecting and building a robust, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure.
