Candidates must have a minimum of five years of experience in an education-related role, such as Customer Education, Training & Enablement, Learning & Development, or teaching. A minimum of three years of experience developing eLearning content is required, along with proficiency in video production tools like Camtasia and course authoring tools like Articulate. Familiarity with learning management systems and experience collaborating with subject matter experts for content ideation and review are essential. The role also requires a strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and an acute eye for detail in grammar, aesthetics, and consistency. Experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or with CMMS/Enterprise Asset Management systems, as well as certifications like CMRP or CRE, are considered advantageous.
The Customer Education Manager will be responsible for defining educational content requirements in consultation with subject matter experts to support customers' development of key skills. This role involves researching customer personas to understand learning motivations, using instructional design models like ADDIE and SAM to develop content for new and existing features, and regularly auditing educational channels such as the MaintainX Academy and Video Library for content updates. The manager will develop and execute a content maintenance strategy aligned with the product roadmap and customer engagement, help define the Customer Education roadmap, and provide consultation to other team members on curriculum and content design.
