Requirements
High School diploma or GED; Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred
Valid driver’s license and fleet safety certified
ASE certification preferred
Proven sales track record with 3-5 years related selling experience
Working knowledge of Advance products and services and ability to market them
Working knowledge of APAL system, including Inventory Management and processing Commercial account paperwork
Working knowledge of automotive systems and traditional automotive aftermarket
Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to use Microsoft software (Word, Excel required; PowerPoint preferred)
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, percentages, sales increases, and gross profit
Ability to review and analyze business reports (e.g., P&L)
Strategic thinking, issue analysis, and change management skills
Ability to work assorted days, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight travel
Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally; specific vision abilities
Responsibilities
Work with District Leaders, General Managers, and key personnel to achieve goals for assigned accounts
Implement new Commercial Sales programs and support current programs
Visit assigned accounts, make sales calls, develop approaches to position products/services, identify/meet customer needs, and maintain sales call database
Proactively communicate with Store Team to ensure realistic customer expectations on product availability, accuracy, and delivery
Provide feedback to business partners on competitive info, merchandising, and services to strengthen market position
Partner in development and retention of Commercial Parts Pros for internal growth
Assist in other functions as assigned (e.g., cleaning, organizing, stocking, POS, truck loading/unloading)
