Job Description: Clinical Sequencing Sales Specialist

Position Overview

As part of the team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will contribute to important work that helps customers find cures for cancer, protect the environment, and ensure food safety. This role is responsible for the growth of the Clinical Sequencing Division, which includes NGS Instruments, NGS consumables, Oncology, and Reproductive Health NGS products.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets, both quarterly and annually.
  • Drive sales through Distributors.
  • Provide relevant market information for product strategy development.
  • Build business strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Directly impact the sales of products now and in the future.
  • Demonstrate technical ability to collaborate with customers on applications, improving technology utilization.
  • Successfully drive reagent efficiency and attachment rates.
  • Dedicate efforts to territory planning, market knowledge, and accurate forecasting.
  • Develop and handle a business plan to meet or exceed business goals.
  • Win projects against competitors by positioning our solutions to address performance, workflow, and budget.
  • Manage instrument install base and consumable utilization, targeting new customers.
  • Animate a network of Distributors, setting targets and metrics to drive sales.

Other Job Requirements

  • Handle the sales process including forecasting, pipeline management, and tracking.
  • Meet key performance indicators for customer visits and activities.
  • Collaborate with Sales Counterparts to drive incremental business.
  • Participate in product trainings and business updates.
  • Possess a valid Driver's license.
  • Able to undertake frequent travel (75% of time).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Academic Degree: Minimum MSc in Molecular Biology/Life Sciences or related field. A PhD is favourable.
  • Experience:
    • Relevant technical and scientific background.
    • 3+ years of sales experience in Direct and Indirect Markets.
    • Proven knowledge of clinical sequencing, next-generation sequencing, life sciences, and oncology testing.
    • Track record of closing high-value deals.
  • Language: Good command of Arabic and English.
