Requirements

Candidates should have a proven track record of delivering financial targets, 3-5+ years of experience selling life science reagents and solutions, and essential experience selling next generation sequencing target enrichment products. Demonstrated technical knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing applications is necessary, and a background in technical sales and support or field applications is preferred. Experience with Salesforce.com is also preferred. A Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Biology or a similar field is preferred. Key attributes include drive, determination, self-motivation, scientific problem-solving skills, technical depth in synthetic biology, excellent consultative selling skills, positive relationship management, strong communication and presentation skills, ability to thrive in a start-up environment, and proven leadership and strategic thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

The NGS Sales Specialist will deliver revenue and drive growth for Twist Bioscience sequencing products in their territory, achieving quarterly and annual revenue targets. They will provide accurate revenue forecasts, maintain knowledge of competitor products and strategies, and escalate competitor activities. The role involves developing and managing key customer relationships, creating contingency and risk mitigation plans, and executing supply agreements. Responsibilities also include collaborating with internal teams to minimize time to revenue, maintaining the CRM database, representing the company at tradeshows, and providing customer feedback to identify unmet needs for new product development.
