Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Biology or Genetics, with 6+ years of commercial experience in sales, marketing, or business development, or equivalent laboratory experience with customer-facing responsibilities. Capital equipment sales experience is required, along with a strong foundation in Genetics and Molecular Biology, and proven ability to sell sophisticated, high-throughput instrument platforms. Preferred qualifications include a Master's or Ph.D. in Biology or Genetics, knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing and Genotyping methods, deep understanding of the sequencing and spatial biology community, and experience with strategic sales skills. The candidate must be physically located in the Mid-Atlantic region and willing to travel up to 50% domestically.

Responsibilities

The Senior Sales Representative will develop a strong understanding of Element technology and execute strategies to acquire new customers while maintaining and growing existing accounts to meet revenue goals. They will analyze situations to provide optimal solutions, present versatile solutions during customer negotiations, and manage customer relationships post-sale to foster long-term business. The role involves working effectively in a team environment to drive revenue opportunities and learning from each experience to improve future sales performance.
