Requirements

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Biology or a similar field and 3-5+ years of experience selling life science reagents and solutions, with essential experience selling next generation sequencing target enrichment products. Demonstrated technical knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing applications is necessary, and experience with Salesforce.com is preferred. Proven drive, determination, self-motivation, scientific problem-solving skills, technical depth in synthetic biology applications, excellent customer consultative selling skills, strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to thrive in a start-up environment are key attributes.

Responsibilities

The NGS Sales Specialist will deliver revenue and drive growth for Twist Bioscience sequencing products within their territory, achieving quarterly and annual revenue targets. They are responsible for delivering accurate revenue forecasts, developing and managing key customer relationships, and creating contingency and risk mitigation plans. Responsibilities include developing and executing supply agreements, collaborating with internal teams to minimize time to revenue, maintaining the CRM database, and representing the company at tradeshows. Additionally, they will maintain awareness of the competitive landscape, provide customer feedback, and introduce new product ideas to internal partners.
