  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Agriculture, Business, Finance, Economics, or related major
  • One year of relevant work experience or internships
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of second language is a plus
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility to relocate (required to complete two 6-month rotations within North America based trading locations; relocation assistance provided if requirements are met)
  • Demonstrate leadership ability and ability to influence others
  • Self-starter who is highly motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Experience in customer service and able to proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Comfortable taking appropriate risks
  • Excellent written and verbal skills and detail-oriented in the areas that require analysis

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with The Andersons internal and external customers
  • Gain fundamental understanding of local, national, and global cash grain and grain product marketing, trading, and flows
  • Aid in evaluating changing crop and market conditions
  • Assist in managing customer relationships, contracts, logistics, data analytics, and other activities
  • Execute existing and new contracts and agreements
  • Buying and selling of commodities
  • Daily analysis of local, national, and global markets
