Currently enrolled in a graduate program, preferably in animal breeding, genetics, genomics, applied statistics, or data science
Experience working with large datasets (e.g., demographics, phenotypes, genotypes); familiarity with GWAS
Proficient in programming (R, Python, etc.) and comfortable working in High Performance Computing environments
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a willingness to learn from a dynamic and evolving industry
Responsibilities
Gain familiarity with Zoetis Genetics research pipelines and available datasets
Explore and evaluate methods to accelerate genomic predictions for existing dairy products
Implement genomic data analyses and develop reproducible, well-documented pipelines using R and/or Python, suitable for deployment in commercial environments
Summarize project outcomes in a technical report and present findings to the Research & Development team
