Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • 7+ years of industry experience in gas, oil, or similar utility industry preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and high-priority tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with a meticulous attention to detail and ability to produce high quality results
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • myQuorum Pipeline experience is preferred
  • Familiar with state and federal regulatory bodies (e.g., RRC, FERC) and experience managing related commercial filings
  • Teamwork skills required: Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills and effectively collaborate with others to optimize team success
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and internal motivation for fundamental understanding of pipeline operations and revenue generation

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with commercial operations team to understand Transportation Service Agreements (TSA’s), Service Orders (SO’s), Operational Balancing Agreements (OBA’s), Interconnect Agreements (ICA’s), and other commercial agreements, including ensuring accurate reporting to regulatory agencies
  • Negotiate and execute new and amended TSA’s, SO’s, ICA’s, and OBA’s to meet daily customer needs
  • Work to ensure all Federal and State regulatory filings are complete and submitted on a timely basis, including but not limited to, RRC GSD2 tariff filings, quarterly GUT filings, Annual RRC reports, and all FERC compliance filings
  • Provide guidance and an escalation point of contact if needed for inbound customer inquiries related to contractual rights and obligations
  • Collaborate with the Pipeline Accounting team to ensure commercial transactions and entitlements align with executed contracts and are properly reflected in customer settlements and invoicing
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Accounting team and provide guidance on customer commercial entitlements per the terms of executed agreements
  • Provide direction and oversight of systems and custom tools supporting the management of commercial agreements and daily customer interactions
  • Mentor and guide junior commercial and contract analysts on operational practices and the administration of commercial agreements
  • Lead efforts to design and refine internal processes and procedures to enhance accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across the team, with a special focus on scalability as the organization continues to grow
  • Prepare, review, and submit commercial regulatory filings in compliance with applicable laws and standards
  • Monitor commercial obligations by ensuring customer rights are honored and required notices are issued in a timely manner
