Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related fields
5+ years of progressive payroll experience supporting organizations with 500+ employees
Comprehensive and hands-on experience with Rippling HRIS and Payroll Processing
Experience managing multi-state payroll for Exempt, Salaried Non-Exempt, and Non-Exempt employees
Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations

Responsibilities

Process high-volume, multi-frequency (Weekly, Bi-weekly, and Semi-monthly) multi-state payroll for over 1700 employees
Act as the subject matter expert for the Rippling HRIS and Payroll Processing system
Perform thorough pre-transmission and post-transmission payroll auditing and reconciliation
Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws
Prepare and submit specialized compliance documentation
Manage, review, and initiate the accurate deduction and remittance of employee benefit contributions
Support the financial close process by providing timely payroll entries into the General Ledger (GL)
Generate detailed payroll reports for critical requirements
Manage the dedicated Payroll inbox and provide timely, professional, and confidential support to employees
Handle special projects and provide cross-functional backup support for the Finance/Accounting team
