Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced sales leader to manage and develop our Clinical Outreach Specialist team of key account managers and inside sales representatives. The Clinical Outreach team is responsible for driving PHIL’s engagement with the Healthcare Providers (HCPs) who prescribe medicines to our patients.

This team manager role is critical to ensuring a high-quality “customer service” mindset approach in all interactions with physicians and office staff. The manager role is responsible for ensuring the team is delivering on key KPIs including driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales management.


Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of 8-12 remote key account managers and inside sales representatives.
  • Develop quality review process including call auditing program.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and professional development planning.
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard new team members as the business scales.
  • Create and implement training programs on PhilRx’s processes and tools, the medications we support, compliance requirements, and sales methodologies.
  • Foster a collaborative, results-driven team culture aligned with company values.

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish quarterly and annual sales targets and KPIs.
  • Oversee the management of existing key accounts while driving expansion opportunities.
  • Partner with marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and sales enablement materials.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and optimize team performance.

Account Management Oversight

  • Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional client experience across all managed accounts.
  • Maintain deep understanding of client needs, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
  • Escalate and resolve complex client issues in partnership with operations and clinical teams.
  • Drive HCP retention and satisfaction metrics while pursuing cross-sell opportunities.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy requirements, and company policies.
  • Optimize sales processes and CRM utilization to improve team efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of sales management experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or digital health industries.
  • 3+ years of experience managing key accounts in a B2B healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets and managing high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, including providers, payers, and health systems.
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, HIPAA.
