Job Summary

The Clinical Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the national clinical strategy team through data analyses, data visualization, and report generation. This role supports a variety of data-driven projects and initiatives for clients. The goal is to provide our clients with transparency, information, and insight into the aggregate health status of their workforce, and how this affects the financial health of their organization.

Responsibilities

  • Extract, validate, and analyze healthcare data to assess trends, cost drivers, and clinical outcomes.
  • Perform detailed clinical reviews of high-cost claimants to evaluate ongoing treatment, exposure, and liability for financial forecasting and risk management.
  • Conduct data audits to ensure accuracy and integrity across platforms and internal reporting systems.
  • Support data-driven strategies for care management, population health initiatives, and employer health plan optimization.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, clinicians, and consultants to define reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Use health analytics platforms (e.g., Artemis, Springbuk, Innovu) to identify cost containment opportunities and track key performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Experience conducting clinical reviews for high-cost claimants to support financial exposure assessments and stop-loss tracking.
  • Clinical background or direct experience with care management, medical claims, or population health teams.
  • Familiarity with predictive modeling, risk stratification, or benchmarking methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare billing codes (ICD, CPT, HCPCS) and HEDIS measures.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, Public Health, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Associate degree in nursing or a Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program is required.
  • Active nursing license in the state where you reside.
  • 5 years of experience working with health insurance brokerages, TPAs, or health data analytics platforms focused on employer health plan reporting.
  • Experience conducting clinical reviews for high-cost claimants to support financial exposure assessments and stop-loss tracking.
  • Clinical background or direct experience with care management, medical claims, or population health teams.
  • Familiarity with predictive modeling, risk stratification, or benchmarking methodologies.
