Candidates must possess an advanced understanding of molecular diagnostics for oncology and the evolving competitive landscape, coupled with excellent knowledge of oncology, hematology, chemotherapeutics, and targeted agents. A strong understanding of the payor and reimbursement environment in the oncology and diagnostic space is essential, as are superior listening and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and effective utilization of Salesforce.com are required. Advanced presentation skills, business acumen, and the ability to work effectively with minimal direction are necessary. Strong administrative skills and sophistication to manage business in complex environments are also key requirements. Frequent travel ( > 50%) throughout the territory is expected.
The Clinical Account Executive will drive strategic business expansion and collaboration opportunities with major U.S. cancer centers, clinics, top oncology practices, Key Opinion Leaders, and Academic Medical Centers within the territory. They will structure detailed strategic plans for client acquisition and retention, maximize client-bill contracting opportunities, and implement laboratory services agreements. Collaboration with all sales positions to ensure successful attainment of company goals and identification of partnering opportunities between prospective oncology clients and Tempus are core duties. The role involves promoting and driving compliance with new web-based molecular information tools, continually analyzing the competitive landscape, and monitoring sales performance to ensure objectives are met. Developing and implementing a comprehensive business plan for the territory, including budgets and travel, and working effectively with individuals across multiple departments are also key responsibilities.
