Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a life science field such as Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Engineering. A minimum of 2 years of sales experience in Cell Therapy or bioprocess is required, with 5-7+ years of sales or related experience preferred. Experience in cross-divisional environments and influencing without authority is also necessary. Strong knowledge and enthusiasm for the rapidly advancing Cell Therapy field are essential, along with excellent oral and written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft products. The position requires the ability to travel approximately 30% and is field-based, ideally located remotely near a prominent Cell Therapy hub in the NA East Region (Boston or Philadelphia preferred).

Responsibilities

The Cell Therapy Business Development Specialist will drive the adoption of the Cell Therapy portfolio within customer manufacturing platforms and serve as the East region specialist for the Cell Culture Cell Therapy (CCCT) portfolio, focusing on Isolation, Activation, and Expansion Cell Therapy manufacturing workflows. Responsibilities include driving revenue growth within the assigned territory by collaborating with cross-divisional Cell Therapy partners, developing strategic territory plans to leverage Thermo Fisher's commercial teams for CGT initiatives, and owning the region's opportunity pipeline, forecasting, and reporting. The specialist will also communicate evolving Cell Therapy market trends and competition to the business unit(s) and engage with customers through face-to-face meetings, teleconferences, and email.
