Position Overview

Join BambooHR as a Client Service Specialist and help clients with hiring, performance management, and compliance. Gain valuable HR experience while working with a company that values doing the right thing for both clients and employees. Responsibilities

  • Provide world-class customer service via phone, email, and chat communications with clients.
  • Uphold and contribute to a brand of setting people free to do great work.
  • Develop an understanding of how information connects in BambooHR products to quickly navigate to the core of client issues.
  • Learn how to guide clients in BambooHR performance management, time-tracking, onboarding, and applicant-tracking systems.
  • Quickly think on your feet to work through complex questions and come up with creative solutions.
  • Be proactive in working independently while also thriving in a team-based environment with other Client Service Specialists.
  • Keep up to date on new features and products to maximize value for clients.
  • Engage in upselling and customer retention activities, utilizing BambooHR strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Perform focused work from 9 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • Availability: Available for in-office training during the training/ramping period (approx. 16 weeks, dependent on performance), before choosing between in-office or remote work.
  • Remote Setup: A dedicated workspace, free from distraction with high-speed, reliable internet.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of relevant customer service or technical troubleshooting experience, with a strong ability to deliver exceptional customer care, take initiative, and exceed client expectations.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Excellent interpersonal communication with clients and co-workers.
    • Demonstrated passion for customer care and championing high levels of client satisfaction through phone interactions.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to break down complex problems and explain them in a clear and simple way.
    • Articulate and concise in both written (type 40+ words per minute) and oral English communication.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Resiliency: Demonstrate strong resiliency and the ability to work through difficult situations, thriving in a metric-oriented environment and consistently achieving goals and milestones.
  • Training Schedule: During training, you'll spend at least 6 hours per day on the phone. After training, your schedule will include 4 hours of phone support and 4 hours of chat support each day.
