Requirements

Candidates should have experience in medical electronics service or a related field, strong verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in electronic and mechanical troubleshooting, and computer skills including MS Office and Windows. They should also be able to occasionally lift products (up to 25kg) and possess familiarity with Cathlab and operating room procedures and protocols, with experience in medical devices and software-based medical systems being advantageous.

Responsibilities

The Capital Equipment Service Engineer will handle the installation, upgrading, repair, and preventive maintenance of capital equipment within Abbott’s medical product portfolio, working closely with the central dispatch team and local sales and clinical staff to support Abbott’s advanced medical technologies and ensure customer satisfaction through service excellence. This includes providing hardware/software field support, coordinating scheduling, offering technical assistance, and delivering system maintenance and troubleshooting training to customer biomedical engineering departments and Abbott sales and field clinical staff.
