Requirements

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, and a minimum of six years of equivalent education and experience in electronic systems, including hands-on technical experience installing, solving, repairing, and calibrating sophisticated analysis tools such as SEM, TEM, FIB, or similar systems. A detailed understanding and extensive experience diagnosing and repairing ultra-high vacuum and high voltage systems are required, along with the ability to read and interpret schematics and familiarity with UHV phenomenon and technology.

Responsibilities

The Field Service Engineer will conduct on-site installation of sophisticated equipment, follow testing procedures, provide diagnosis and repair support to customers and field personnel, cultivate positive working relationships with customers and company personnel, travel to customer sites to resolve problems, complete field service reports, provide training to customers and users, provide feedback to product quality teams, update system documentation, provide guidance for reports, and act as a subject expert and resource for training.
