Requirements

Candidates should possess an Associate degree in engineering, biology, chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent work experience and knowledge. A minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in a clinical, diagnostics, or other regulated lab environment is required, along with experience in qPCR, DNA sequencing, and/or flow cytometry. Strong customer service and technical skills are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Field Service Engineer I will perform customer preventative maintenance, installs, and repairs on various instruments in assigned geography, positively interacting with customers to tackle technical problems and identify areas for improvement. They will provide onsite installation, upgrades, repairs, and preventative maintenance service, achieve revenue targets, offer and close service contracts, collaborate with internal partners to resolve customer issues, execute qualification and validation protocols, maintain technical competency, and follow reporting responsibilities while adhering to policies regarding spare parts management and ensuring a safe working environment.
