Responsibilities

  • Manage regional licensees, including implementing regional category plan/strategy, developing and executing local market category plans, developing/implementing/achieving yearly revenue budget, and ensuring licensees understand Disney’s business standards, directions, and strategies while managing them to meet targets
  • Undertake market analysis to follow/proactively meet trends/regulations, monitor sub-categories and retail performance, and determine/develop Disney’s segment share
  • Determine category key drivers (franchise, products, price, retail channel) to expand brand presence consistent with retailer needs
  • Contribute to regional category discussions on behalf of the local market
  • Identify and contract new licensees for category development
  • Identify product/franchise/channel gaps and ensure plans to fill them
  • Manage contract renewals based on category plan
  • Assist in establishing efficient distribution services
  • Provide account management to top licensees for long-term business development
  • Coordinate with Compliance Group to ensure licensee compliance with Disney’s labor standards
  • Ensure licensees’ thorough understanding and compliance with Disney’s contract, terms, and conditions
  • Identify and develop manufacturing centers of excellence (global and regional)
  • Regularly communicate with key licensees and conduct quarterly performance reviews
  • Work with key retail accounts to manage Disney’s product range and presence at retail
  • Work with buyers from key retail accounts to develop business opportunities, managing product sourcing, mix/range, pricing, and new programs specific to each retailer’s profile
  • Act as communication link between Disney, licensees, and retail buyers
  • Conduct quarterly retail account performance reviews and marketing updates
  • Identify signage and merchandising needs
  • Direct product development with Product Developer consistent with category plan and ongoing product quality improvement
  • Administer and coordinate licensee’s product approvals with Product Developer
  • Responsible for category budget and bottom-line responsibility
  • Provide quarterly category forecasts (revenue grading)
  • Responsible for collecting past due accounts receivable
  • Coordinate with Retail, Sales & Marketing team to support sales promotion, events, and advertising in the local market
  • Work with Retail, Sales & Marketing Team to ensure better understanding of consumer profiles and market needs
  • Ensure appropriate licensees implement Disney visual merchandising programs
