Business Development Representative

Position Overview

Postscript is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our fully remote team. As a BDR, you will be at the forefront of identifying and engaging with ecommerce businesses, acting as a crucial ambassador for Postscript. Your primary role will be to initiate connections with potential clients, sparking new opportunities and ensuring a smooth hand-off to our Account Executives. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sales, eager to learn, and looking to make a significant impact in a high-growth startup environment.


Responsibilities

  • Prospecting & Outreach:
    • Identify and qualify ecommerce brands that align with Postscript's ideal customer profile.
    • Build targeted account lists and engage potential customers through creative and resourceful outreach.
    • Spark new business opportunities by initiating thoughtful and compelling communication.
  • Sales Process:
    • Consistently achieve and exceed targets for generating qualified new business opportunities.
    • Professionally represent Postscript's product, brand, and company, clearly articulating our value proposition.
    • Maintain high standards for timeliness, responsiveness, and diligent follow-up with prospects.
    • Build foundational relationships with prospective customers, setting the stage for their future success.
    • Collaborate closely with Account Executives to nurture early-stage opportunities.
  • Data Management & Learning:
    • Accurately manage activities and pipeline within Salesforce CRM, ensuring data is consistently updated.
    • Continuously learn about customer marketing strategies, technology landscapes, and business objectives.
    • Collaborate with Go-to-Market (GTM) team members to refine the sales process.

Requirements

  • Experience:
    • 1+ years of B2B sales development experience, preferably in SaaS, marketing technology, or a related field.
    • Experience with sales tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, Sales Navigator, or Gong.
  • Skills & Attributes:
    • Natural ability to build rapport and make initial connections with people.
    • Strong attention to detail, with an organized and solution-oriented approach.
    • Developing ability to prioritize tasks and think strategically about engaging with businesses.
    • Eagerness to learn how to create value for customers and understand their business goals.
    • Motivated to meet and exceed expectations with a genuine desire to learn and grow in a sales role.
    • An interest in or basic understanding of ecommerce is a plus.
