Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Law, Computer Science or other related field required (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 6 or more years of experience in business banking required
  • Proven ability to develop business relationships
  • Strong networking and relationship management skills
  • Effective presentation and negotiation skills
  • Working knowledge and understanding of cash management products and services
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relating to commercial lending
  • Willingness to travel 20% and support assigned market territory with branch visits

Responsibilities

  • Grow Business Banking revenue by increasing business deposits, loans, treasury management, and merchant services, with primary focus on acquiring new bank client relationships
  • Actively develop and manage relationships with high value business clients
  • Promote and market a broad range of bank products and services
  • Develop and maintain relationships with line of business partners, commercial relationship managers, branch managers, and related staff to facilitate a team environment and successful delivery of products and services
  • Meet sales volume and profitability goals, sales activities, and calling goals
  • Develop internal and external referral sources through centers of influence, participation in bank events, community activities, and seminars for professional and small business groups
  • Understand all company products and make referrals to other areas as appropriate
  • Coordinate and set up meetings between prospective customers and appropriate line of business partners (e.g., Commercial Relationship Managers, Branch Managers, Treasury Management Representatives, Mortgage Loan Officers, Investment Officers, Outside Affiliated Product Reps)
  • Comply with policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations
