Forward-Deployed Integration Engineer

Position Overview

Deel is seeking a highly technical and collaborative Forward-Deployed Integration Engineer to work at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer success. You will collaborate directly with strategic customers to understand their technical needs and design and implement solutions that drive impact, ranging from custom integrations and automation workflows to complex platform use cases. This role requires strong technical skills, empathy, initiative, and creativity to represent Deel to clients and clients to Deel.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with customers to understand their technical requirements and business objectives.
• Design and implement tailored technical solutions, often using Deel's and our partner Accounting and HCMs' APIs, webhooks, and backend infrastructure.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, Solutions Engineers, and Backend/Frontend Engineers to deliver both customer-specific and scalable product improvements.
• Contribute to product planning by feeding real-world customer use cases back into the roadmap.
• Build and enhance product features, debug issues, and improve reliability at "Deel speed."
• Provide exceptional technical support during onboarding, implementation, and post-sale expansion.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, helping enterprise customers unlock the full power of Deel.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills, especially with non-technical stakeholders and external clients.
• Experience delivering client-facing solutions, whether in implementation, consulting, or embedded technical roles.
• 5+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack software engineer, ideally in SaaS or B2B platforms.
• Fluency in Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, with a deep understanding of software engineering principles.
