Candidates must obtain and maintain a Life & Health insurance license, as required by the State Department of Insurance, and be willing to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment. They should also possess excellent communication and presentation skills, a strong ability to persuade and motivate others, basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to learn appropriate insurance company and firm software systems.
The Associate Advisor will gain knowledge of respective lines of insurance through an in-depth training program, with exposure to existing clients and mentorship from experienced advisors. They will be responsible for growing their own book of business by generating, prospecting, soliciting, and closing new accounts, as well as retaining existing clients. The role involves identifying and generating new sales opportunities, participating in sales meetings, developing a full working knowledge of insurance products and procedures, presenting proposals professionally, maintaining an understanding of insurance industry criteria, and supporting clients’ needs and passions.
