Mid-level experience plus leadership and mentoring capabilities

Knowledge of commercial & systematic delivery issues resolution
Expertise in negotiating complex and/or critical supplier agreements
Proficiency in supplier resourcing aligned with GSM commodity strategies
Skills in managing supply base for production materials, competitive pricing, cost reductions, quality, and delivery performance
Capability to create eRFQ packages, analyze & score suppliers
Experience in supplier kick-off meetings, APQP management, tooling POs, and ERP data entry
Ability to manage supplier changes, verify capacity, finalize T&Cs (freight, payment, currency)
Proficiency in managing supplier data in systems
Skills in tracking and improving supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery)
Experience driving cost reduction initiatives
Knowledge of global commodity strategies and indirect materials cost management
Ability to analyze material pass-through impact
Capability to recommend supplier processes by interpreting blueprints and evaluating needs
Experience exploring technology and implementing purchasing best practices
Skills in evaluating part design with engineering, quality, and suppliers
Proficiency in managing multiple databases/systems (SPS, SAP, Part Portal)
Ability to maintain supplier contacts and collect z-scores for financial status

Responsibilities

Lead development and management of global/regional commodity strategies to leverage purchasing power, maximize synergies, optimize supplier performance, reduce costs, and meet technology expectations
Ensure commodity plan deliverables meet designed strategies
Negotiate key supplier contracts
Provide global leadership in communication, implementation, coordination, and enforcement of commodity strategies
Provide leadership and mentoring
Resolve commercial & systematic delivery issues from suppliers
Negotiate complex and/or critical supplier agreements in line with strategies
Execute supplier resourcing aligned with GSM commodity strategies
Manage supply base for existing production materials
Maintain competitive pricing with emphasis on cost reductions, quality, and supplier delivery performance
Identify sources considering strategic commodity business plan
Create eRFQ package, analyze & score to select best supplier
Negotiate and award suppliers meeting GSM commodity strategy and policy
Hold kick-off meetings with awarded suppliers and support APQP management
Release tooling POs and manage supplier tooling documents
Enter data to ERP system and issue prototype, PPAP orders & Blanket POs
Manage supplier changes during development and mass production
Verify supplier capacity to meet program volume requirements
Finalize agreement Terms & Conditions including freight, payment terms, currency
Manage supplier data for systems (contacts, price, terms)
Manage value & non-value add permanent supplier changes
Track and improve supplier performance – cost, quality, delivery
Resolve commercial and capacity issues at suppliers
Drive cost reduction initiatives and meet targets
Support global commodity strategies
Manage cost of indirect materials
Create ideas and implement cost reductions for indirect materials
Analyze material pass-through impact regularly
Recommend supplier process utilization by interpreting blueprints and evaluating customer needs
Explore available technology and implement best practices related to purchasing
Evaluate part design with engineering, quality, and suppliers for optimum efficiencies
Manage and administrate multiple databases/systems (SPS, SAP, Part Portal)
Maintain supplier contact points as latest version
Collect z-scores for local suppliers to clarify financial status regularly
Participate in safety work team, improve safety issues, comply with safety rules
Perform any other tasks instructed by supervisor or company
