Requirements

  • Extensive corporate tax knowledge, familiar with International Taxes, local and indirect taxes (both US and Internationally)
  • Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations
  • Familiarity with Indirect taxes - U.S. and Internationally
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and coordinate with outside tax consultants the preparation, review and submission of the all required company tax filings, including: Sales Tax, 1099, VAT/GST, Withholding taxes and other indirect taxes
  • Manage and facilitate indirect tax related audits and projects: preparing responses, creating schedules, reviewing memos, etc
  • Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary indirect and international taxes
  • Plan for and develop overall return calendar and coordinate timing and inputs with tax team
  • Maintain and prepare all general ledger accounts and oversee the preparation and recording of all required tax related filings, journal entries and reconciliations (includes Corporate Taxes)
  • Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process. Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation
