Senior Machine Learning Scientist
QlooFull Time
Senior (5 to 8 years), Expert & Leadership (9+ years)
The ideal candidate has experience solving real-world business problems with data-driven optimization and ML modeling, and is comfortable measuring and optimizing the business impact of their work. Proficiency in SQL, handling large-scale data, and at least one programming language like Python or R is required. Experience building ML models from scratch using modern approaches such as Neural Nets or Tree-ensembles, including decisions on supervised labels, optimization metrics, and feature selection, is essential.
The Staff Data Scientist will dive into clinical and coding audits to understand data drivers and past outcomes, curate labeled data, hypothesize new features, and develop ML models to target claims for audit with greater precision. They will rigorously measure model performance, translate outcomes into operational insights, and refine vast, nuanced data pipelines for robust modeling. Responsibilities also include enhancing data pipelines, modeling infrastructure, and team tools to improve capabilities and decision-making efficiency, as well as building expertise in healthcare data and engaging with clients and internal experts to refine model insights.
