Requirements

Candidates must have over 5 years of successful Account Executive experience with consistent quota attainment, and experience selling into Public Sector/SLED (State, Local, Education). A strong background in UCaaS/SaaS/Cloud sales, particularly Voice and Contact Center, is required, along with experience managing government procurement and contracting cycles. Residency in the Great Lakes region is necessary, with Chicago, IL being strongly preferred. Familiarity with government contracting vehicles, knowledge of competitive UCaaS/voice ecosystems, success in multi-product SaaS environments, and experience working with channel partners are preferred qualifications.

Responsibilities

The Account Executive will acquire and grow new public sector accounts with a hunter focus, selling the Zoom One platform with an emphasis on Voice, PBX, and Contact Center. Responsibilities include building trusted relationships with executives and IT leaders, developing and executing a comprehensive coverage plan for the Great Lakes region, and delivering demos, proposals, negotiations, and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs). The role also involves navigating complex procurement processes and long public sector sales cycles, partnering with channel organizations, and accurately forecasting pipeline while providing territory insights.
